Fifteen Natomas Unified students, representing each of our school sites, were selected for their resilience, dedication, and hard work in this year’s Every Student Succeeding celebration. NUSD Board Trustees, staff members, and administrators recognized the feats of these students as exemplary during the annual celebration breakfast.
Faced with obstacles and challenges, these amazing students stayed the course and persevered. Despite hardships that may have come their way, they worked diligently to remain focused on school and excel. “It’s nice to know what people see, what I see in my son, who is this gentle soul who works hard daily to make sure that he obtains and absorbs that’s being provided to him,” Brynn Marotte, the mother of an honoree, said.
A few suffered personal losses, navigating grief, with the help of loved ones, “My mom, my grandma, my whole family’s helped me past this journey,” Martin, an Every Student Succeeding Honoree, said.
The students overcoming obstacles are examples of what can be accomplished with the help of supportive staff members and loved ones. Congratulations to this year’s Every Student Succeeding Honorees.
