Coffee with CAFE (Communications and Family Engagement) is Back
Coffee, pastries, with a side of resources! That was what was on the menu at American Lakes and Bannon Creek schools this past week, as Natomas Unified staff members visited with families before classes began. The series is a part of our district’s Core Value of valuing families as partners in the education of their students.
Thanks to community partner Beanheads Coffee for the free coffee and pastries. We will be visiting TK – 8th grade campuses in the coming weeks. To find out which school sites we are heading to next, click here.

LEAP (Learning Recovery Enrichment Athletics/Arts/Academics/Activities Program) Academy students at Bannon Creek Elementary went head-to-head last week in the event Rethink Your Drink. Students were encouraged to think creatively about different ways to flavor their water using different fruits, encouraging them to stay hydrated. Watch this video to see some of their concoctions.
